Should You Lawyer Up?

Absolutely. We’ve all seen shows like the First 48 and literally cringe when the “Suspect” begins to talk. Even when the conversation seems pointless or irrelevant to crime committed somehow we know that person should not be talking. Ever. When law enforcement reads you those Miranda rights, pay close attention.

There is NOTHING you can say in that moment that will help your cause. There is no need to be rude, hostile or belligerent. But, there is a need to be assertive and make your intentions clear. You need to let them know that you want an attorney and you are exercising your right to remain silent. It’s very important that you preserve your interests immediately. Keep in mind that anything you say can and WILL be used against you! Protect yourself and lawyer up! Legal trouble? Contact Attorney Bridgette Michelle Domingos at Domingos Law 727-755-8448
